Beaumont House was built in the 1850s Regency period as a private house/villa. It was converted to a hotel in the 1980s. It is set in beautiful gardens, where drinks may be enjoyed on summer evenings. Our comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax with a good novel, enjoy either a complimentary cappuccino, or a drink from our Trust Bar (sorry, not complimentary!), before going out for dinner.

Out of Africa This premier room is designed for a memorable stay. It is a large room furnished in an African style. The bed (6 square feet) is made out of railway sleepers from the East African Railway.

Directions to Beaumont House: The hotel is situated on the a46 Shurdington Road, which is the extension of Bath Road. From Oxford on the a40, look for the sign of the a46 Stroud & Shurdington. At the roundabout in Bath Road, take the right hand road at the Norwood Arms Pub. The hotel is 200 yards on the left after the pub, before the traffic lights. From the m5, take exit 11 and follow signs to Cheltenham. At the first roundabout (Golden Valley) exit roundabout at 2 o'clock towards Shurdington. Go over several little roundabouts, always following the signs to Shurdington. Ignore all signs for Cheltenham. Eventually on a straight road, you will go past Morrisons supermarket on your left. On the next T- junction/roundabout follow the sign to Cheltenham. After one mile, and passing through pedestrian lights, you will reach traffic lights at a crossroad junction, go straight over and the hotel is the fourth property on your right.
