| The New Inn, situated a few miles away from Settle, is an 18th century coaching inn that has been lovingly and carefully restored to offer quality accommodation. Set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park, this hotel offers high standards of accommodation at affordable prices and is ideal for visiting many places such as the Lake District, Leeds and Lancaster, or enjoy a trip on the Settle/ Carlisle Railway.
In the Main Bar can be seen a collection of caving cartoons by Jim Eyre, one of the local early cave explorers. In the Lounge Bar are many tapestries all made by Barbara and several ‘New Inn’ themed cartoons by Lakes cartoonist Ken Mosley. The restaurant has original paintings, several having a West Riding industrial theme. The New Inn is situated in the village of Clapham, off of the A65 Leeds to Kendal/Lake District Road. Clapham is 45 miles north of Leeds following the A65, 6 miles north of Settle. It is 19 miles east of Lancaster Junction 34 of the m6, and 14 miles south of Junction 36 of the M6 (down the A65). The New Inn is 40 miles (50 minutes drive) from Leeds & Bradford Airport, and 60 miles (l hour 15 minutes drive) from Manchester International Airport.
