The former home of the Oliver family, well-known local horse breeders, the hotel is set in 15 acres of countryside. The Stables Hotel Restaurant is situated in the original stable block which was converted in the 1960's. Built in the early 1970s, the hotel accommodation is on ground level, making access easy. From the A55 (westbound):
- Exit at junction 10 and follow signs for Caernarfon (A4087).
- Continue through Caernarfon, following signs for Porthmadog (A487).
- Once through the village of Bontnewydd, follow signs for Pwhelli (A499).
- The hotel is 300 metres from the junction of A487 and the A499, on the left on the left hand side.
