| With views south to the Norman priory, meadow lands and woods, relax in the charming lounges of this elegant manor house. Located between fells and sea in the still untouched valley of Cartmel, Aynsome Manor is the ideal centre from which to explore the richness of the English lakes or the hidden delights of the nearby coastline with its fascinating estuaries and inlets. Newby bridge at the southern tip of lake Windermere is just 5 miles away, whilst the genteel Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is only 3 miles away. After exploring the area, return to a roaring log fire and choose a drink from the well-stocked bar. 2 generations of the Varley family have created a special atmosphere of warmth and comfort for over 25 years.
Once the distinguished residence of the descendants of William Marshall, the Earl of Pembroke and founder of the historic 12th century Cartmel Priory, Aynsome still echoes with the character and and traditions of that bygone era. Room Details
