Unfortunately, the terraced nature of the site and historic character of the building means that the guest house has so far been unable to provide ramped access, and does not have a lift. Guests should be aware that all bedrooms are accessed via the staircases. The path from the front gate includes several sets of steps, and there is a flight of steps from the car park.

Please note that the Kingsholm has no special facilities for children and does not offer a reduced tariff.

Located in a beautiful conservation area only 350 metres from Torquay’s harbour, shops and restaurants, this fine Edwardian house overlooks the ornamental trees of Torwood Gardens.

Debbie and Alison focus on providing clean rooms, friendly service and home-cooked food. Kingsholm has an AA Dinner Award.

The Kingsholm is graded by the AA as 4-star guest accommodation, and features 10 en suite rooms. The bedrooms have been individually decorated to provide the comfort and warmth you would expect of your hosts' home.

On the ground floor, you can enjoy the lounge, bar and dining room. The large lounge has an impressive bay window which makes the room light and airy, ideal for relaxing with a book or newspaper. The original Edwardian fire surround now houses a cosy gas fire.

Directions to Kingsholm:
By Car
From Exeter (M5):
- Take the A380 and follow signs for Torquay.
- On entering Torquay, follow signs for the harbour.
- At the seafront, turn left, and drive past the Princess Theatre, turning left again at the small roundabout.
- When you reach the clock tower roundabout, turn left into Torwood Street (which becomes Babbacombe Road).
- The guest house is about 400 yards ahead on the left, just after the bowling alley but before the museum.

On Foot
From Torquay Station:
Walk onto the seafront and turn left (sea on your right). Follow the seafront past the Princess Theatre, and then turn left around the harbour to the clock tower roundabout. Then follow as above.
