The mill was built around 1750 and, surprisingly, was still in operation in the late 1970's when it was converted into award-winning flats and penthouses. In 1983, the old grain store took on a new lease of life when it opened as a restaurant, subsequently becoming the Wensum Lodge Hotel. We offer complimentary fishing for our guests, by the river Wensum on our doorstep, the chef will cook anything you catch! Fakenham is situated midway between King's Lynn and Norwich. If travelling from the a11, The Wensum Lodge Hotel can be found just off the a1065 signposted for Fakenham Racecourse. From Norwich, the hotel is found from the a1067 and from King's Lynn off the a148. The hotel is located 100 yards past the Racecourse on the left.
