This smoke-free hotel is a 3-storey, purpose-built Victorian hotel, built in 1873 by Sir Edmund Buckley, the man responsible for bringing the railways to this part of Wales. By Rail: The nearest rail connection is 13 miles away.
By Bus: Buses stop about 100 metres from the hotel although these are infrequent. From Dolgellau the bus makes a weekly visit on Wednesdays. From Machynlleth buses call daily.
