The Arthotel Blaue Gans has a long tradition that dates back 650 years and is the oldest guest house of Salzburg. It has been renovated and became an Arthotel in 2002. We invite guests to discover a fascinating mix of old and new in a friendly and relaxing ambiance.

Room Details

Directions to Arthotel Blaue Gans:
From Vienna, Germany or airport:
- Take the exit "west/flughafen"
- at the first traffic light follow the direction Zentrum (centre).
- Drive through the tunnel and at the 3rd traffic light turn to your right.
- Now you are on the Maxglaner Hauptstrasse which becomes Neutorstrasse after some 100 metres.
- Keep going straight ahead, direction Zentrum, until you get to a tunnel (sigmundstor).
- On the right hand side there are entrances to the parking garages. (walking distance to the Arthotel Blaue Gans: from "terminal A" it’s just across the street.)
- If you pass the tunnel, you will see the Blaue Gans immediately. On the right hand side are the festival houses, on the left hand side is the horse pond and opposite the Arthotel Blaue Gans with its garden restaurant.
You can unload your luggage right in front of the hotel.

From Italy (via Villach):
- Take exit "süd (south)/anif" from the highway and keep going straight ahead on the 2-lane street Alpenstrasse, direction Zentrum (centre).
- At the roundabout justizgebäude turn right and cross the river salzach.
- After the bridge (in front of the hospital) turn left.
- On the Imbergstrasse (along the river, stay on left lane) drive straight ahead, until you get to a traffic light, then turn left and cross the main bridge, leaving the bridge turn to your right.
- Keep on left lane in front of the traffic light.
- After about 300 metres turn to your left through the arch at Museum Carolino Augusteum.
- Keep on the right side along the mountain, and drive through the arch Gstättentor.
- Stay on this street which bends slightly to your right, and in front of the church turn left into the Getreidegasse.
- After about 20 metres you will find the Arthotel Blaue Gans on the right hand side. You may stop in front of the hotel to unload and to check in.
